I was tattooed by Bunny a year ago and it was the best and most comfortable experience i’ve had. I wanted a custom piece and worked with Bunny on creating something I would love. She was excited and open to hear the ideas I had and created a beautiful tattoo with everything I envisioned. I let her know how uncomfortable I was with needles and she reassured me the whole time and made sure I was comfortable the whole experience. Definitely my favorite tattoo artist and would recommend her to anyone scared to get a tattoo because of needles. She’ll make sure it’s a comforting experience and she’ll do a wonderful job.

I booked tattoos with Lexx under a promotion she posted before she secured her own studio. She allowed me to book under the appointment of my friend, rather than requesting I pay my own deposit, as states in her policies “no deposit=no appointment”. As a result, I was then seen as a “tag along” and my tattoos were tied to my friend’s appointment. I had no problem paying my own deposit and/or making my own appointment had she requested, as her policy states that one guest is welcome for an appointment. I felt more comfortable going with a friend because this was my first tattoo experience ever. One of the many last minute reschedules, was because the studio’s inspection appointment she had to pass was scheduled at the same time, meaning she had appointments on the books with intention to tattoo before having her studio cleared. When my friend approached her about receiving her deposit back after the third reschedule, she refused, even though her policy stated that if she can’t do the tattoo due to time or style, she would reach out and offer a refund. She even suggested that my friend should approach me and have me give her the deposit money instead. This was only for her to offer the same deposit back to my friend after the FOURTH reschedule. When we arrived, a month after the date the original appointment was booked which we had booked a month in advance as well, the atmosphere felt awkward and was not welcoming until my friend and I started making conversation first. She also was not prepared as she forgot what tattoos she was doing on both clients, and had to draw up mine on the spot. She also did not shave either of us before starting the tattoos. This experience was more of an inconvenience for my friend than for me, as she had to take multiple days off from work, only to receive a cancellation message a day or two before. As for me, Lexx was communicating mainly with my friend and I was hearing about changes made second hand. I recently booked a free touch up for my tattoos on Thursday (04/20/2013) —as per her 60 day touch up policy, which has since been taken down from what I can see on the website), as there are several lines that are not connected, and after booking a “luxury service”, as she puts it, and the many reschedules on her part, I would’ve liked for my tattoos to be as perfect as possible, especially after all the inconveniences. The touch up service was canceled and a DM was sent from Lexx on instagram saying it was due to “personal reasons” and that she would be reaching out to reschedule. After the canceled appointment, I messaged to question about the reschedule, only to find out that I had been blocked, most likely due to conflict with my friend who she mainly communicated with. This is extremely unprofessional, as the issues with her tattoo are separate from mine, as was my line of communication. A message stating her feelings of wanting to cut ties in accordance of my friend, or having fulfilled my touch up service and then cutting ties should’ve been explained, and would have been understood even though her conflict was not with me, rather than ghosting. It shows how much respect she has for her clients and it’s unfortunate that my first tattoo experience had to be this because Lexx’s work is really good and she’s one of the only artists i’ve seen post her work on black skin so I felt she was a good artist for me. My
friends experience now coupled with mine has left a bad impression of B&L studios.
